Milano ISD can celebrate an impactful TEA Rating of being a Straight A-rated school district, announced by the Texas Education Agency based on 2022 accountability scores.
Schools and districts are graded on three criteria: student achievement, student progress, and how well the school is closing its learning gaps. Student achievement and progress weigh the most and STAAR results are how the agency measures progress. Students are tested on different subjects: reading, math, science, and social students.
Based on Milano ISD’s Accountability Rating Summary, the District earned an overall score of 94 for an A rating.
Within the summary:
Milano ISD has a history of excellence and to be honored with this distinction this year, in the midst of a pandemic, means the world to our school district. We, as a district, are incredibly proud of the hard work our students, teachers and staff put forth especially during a challenging time in education. We are also grateful to have a strong, cohesive School Board that plays an integral role in our success, supporting learning and growth in all areas. Being rated a Straight A district is an amazing accomplishment and our community deserves to be celebrated for investing in the high-quality education we have here in Milano ISD.
